    Winchester boxed cartouche stopped when?

I have a very nice Winchester 1079615, can't find a decent I cut, high wood stock for it. Found a couple that had been "heavily" sanded. Then another question comes up ...... when did Winchester stop using the box in thier cartouche. Would it make any difference, in this serial number range, if the box was there or not? Any help? Thanks, Karbine Kat, dippstic@aol.com
