Seller says:

Extremely rare Boer Sporting Mauser or Plezier Mauser in 7x57. Made between 1897 & 1899. Word has it that there were only 2000 of these made and it is unknown how many survived after the war. I believe this was the only sporting Mauser sanctioned for military use, No Germanicon proof marks only Britishicon (after war) numbers match. Full octogon barrel. Bore is excellent. Stock has been refinished and has some issues at forend. This will affect value. I have seen them go as high as $5000-10,000. Offering this one for $2,000 plus shipping. PM for pic's. Thanks
