On gunbroker I found a dealer named Fort Kenucky that I thought could help me locate a nice matching Dreyse needle rifle. I contacted Fort Kentucky and he told me his boss Jay Soloman would be try and find a nice Dreyse for me. I emailed a list Dreyse military models I was looking for and ask that they be in very good condtion, original, and have matching numbers. Fort Kentucky relays all of this to Jay Soloman including my phone number and tells me Jay will call when he find one. Jay calls in a few weeks and tells me has found me a nice bolt matching 1841 Dreyse needle rifle. I tell him great I will take it. When the rifle arrives it turns out to be a model 1862 that is mismatched and the barrel and reciever are pitted. Worst of all I know the dealer Jay Soloman bought this rifle from and this rifle had a mismatch bolt when Jay Soloman bought it, but before he sent it to me he scrubbed off the serial numbers on the bolt. I even examined this rifle just a few month ago at a gun show in Louisville Ky before Jay bought it and it had mismatched numbers on the bolt. I have it in writing from the dealer that sold it to Jay that the bolt had numbers on it before Jay recieved it. Jay Soloman will now not return emails from me and refuses to give me a refund. I say this as a warning to anyone who ever considers dealing Jay Soloman. He has lied to me and ripped me off please dont let him do the same to you. I have pics of the scrubbed bolt I will be happy to email to anyone who is interested.
