The first carbine that CMPicon released were still in the packing bags fresh from storage at US military facilities. They weren't the ones brought back from over-seas. There were a limited number. You had to be a member of an affiliate and have a bit of "inside" info to even be aware of the release. These carbines were in beautiful condition. Most were shipped in the "white" storage bags that they were delivered to the CMP in. As a result, they are usually referred to as "white bag" carbines.
