Just bribed my daughter to scan this picture in for me. I have more......but can't afford her services with out a run to the bank.
This shows my Father and his beloved Colt made for the Argentines .45. He said he was never issued a .45, just a carbine. He was a member of the 1387th EBO CO. Best I can tell it was a combined unit of Engineers ganged up for the possible re-building of Japan. Said he worked heavy equipment, but mostly drove a officer to and from the officers club. He won that .45 from a Australianplaying cards.
I remember him telling of treasures found that were left by the Japanese.
I happened upon this sight recently,I had no idea of the amount of loot left by the Japanese,
