I've noticed some variations on Eddystone bolt sleeves and am wondering which is correct for a M1917 September 1918 Eddysone. I've seen a serif E with no eagle and no notch cut into the lower left rear ring. I've also seen a regular E, with an eagle in the top groove, with a notched rear ring. Harrison's book says that Eddystone sleeves had no eagle at all. I have a Winchester sleeve with the rear notch and eagle.

Does a serif E or regular E or the notch have anything to do with a M1917 versus P14?

Thanks.
