    Early Inland Questions

    All,
I got this nice early carbine back during the T-giving holidays. It just "looks right". All Inland except firing pin (QH-L) and extractor (W). Bbl date of 8/43. SG mfg receiver.
    Two main questions:
    1. Is this nice original I cut stock too early for the s/n?? IO but no flaming bomb in the stock cut.

    2. The leaf on the flipper is marked .u.. Unmarked on the base. If I'm reading Ruth correctly, Underwood shipped Inland some flip leafs early in 43. Is there some possiblity this is the original rear sight? I have been unable to detect any stake marks to denote later adj. installation.
