Black powder rifles

Hi gents,
I'm interested in purchasing a military black powder replica that the Canadian Militia would have used in the early 1800's. It would have to be fully operational so that I might hunt with it. Since I don't know much about these types of firearms, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also where could I find one?
