I thought he was asking about using a 303 Bren mag on a Lee Enfield? That would be a whole different thing!

I take it you have never gone out with the intention of buying a newspaper but ended up in the pub instead ?

Anyhow as has allready been mentioned the Bren mag worked in the Charlton, albeit in a modified form to fit the MLE 'Long Tom' rifle conversion.
The pictures below of an original Lithgow manufactured Charlton magazine might be of some help if contemplating such a magazine conversion (don't know how much different a No4 mag well is)
