I was stuck in the house during the weekend's obscene cold snap, spending entirely too much time searching the web for goodies that I can't afford, when I ran across a shop in California selling a No8 MKI. Called them on Monday and they still had it in inventory. Supposedly it came from a local estate. From their description it was complete and correct so I took the plunge. Price shipped was $550 USD. Dealer told me they would ship it on Monday so if all goes well I should have it at week's end. I've been stupid lucky when it comes to Enfields recently so I'm hoping my lucky streak is still intact.
While I pride myself on keeping track of current milsurp pricing I don't see No 8s come to market enough in the US to have a handle on value. I'm confident I did OK but wouldn't mind hearing from those who have No 8s.
There have been a couple or three on Gunbroker in the last few months, from memory they were over $600 and I think one didnt reach reserve.
