    Welcome ...

Check one of the banner ad links in top right corner of any MILSURPS.COM web page. You'll see Riflechair's Site (click here).

Great site with all kinds of links to just about everything.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Hello

Just wanted to say "Hi" and say what an informative site you have. I currently collect sniper rifles, but have always been interested in military small-arms.

I'm new to this forum, but not to firearms forums in general. I see some familiar names here and I'm looking forward to learning the ins and ours of this excellent web site.

    Hello!

    Greetings!

I collect, restore and shoot SMLE (No. 1) Mk. III/3s. The most interesting of the modest little group is a No. 1 Mk. III that originated in The Khyber Pass, it's clearly a counterfeit and has a family name crudely engraved on the butt plate in Pashtun; the oldest is a 1915 Lithgowicon. I also have some representative members of our American 30-06 battle rifles but my favorites are the 303Bs. My latest interest is the No. 4 Mk. 1 (T).

These battle rifles represent not only the history of the period of their service but the men who carried them. Working on the guns and shooting them is a direct, tangible connection with these warriors of the past. The fact that they are lots of fun to work on and shoot is a great bonus.

I look forward to your learned advice.

    Gratefully,

    SMLE_Sam

    New member

    Hello, first posting from myself.

New member based in Uk, North East Englandicon. 20 years shooting experience, mainly in military, (Light Infantry).Keen shooter with main interest in old milserps particularly Lee Enfields.
Milserps owned at present are S.M.L.E No.1 mk3 and Lee Enfield No. 4 converted to target rifle with scope and heavy barrell. Now on the lookout for a .22lr S.M.L.E. or No.4 training rifle for indoor range shooting. These are however quite rare in the Uk and demand a high price for a good one.
Thanks for the interesting and informative site.
