Like what I've read on your site so far...
Greetings to all you Military fans out there!
I live in Southwest Virginia and have been collecting and shooting since about the age of 7. In the early days I gathered up all the surplus military stuff I could lay my hands on including a U.S. bolt action training rifle. All it did was click but that was O.K. Soon after my grandfather allowed me to use his early Winchester 22 pump rifle with the break down stock out in the California desert. I still have one of those and take it to the range with me. Right now I'm collecting Thompson S.M.G. bits and have built three versions of it as display guns. I have read lots of interesting things about the Thompson, Stens, and the Enfield MK4 too(I have one of these and shoot it when I can afford ammo). In the future I would like a Jungle version of the Enfield and possibly will buy a Sten Mark II or ??? kit. Great to be here and cheers from snowy and freezing S.W. Virginia...

Hello,
I am new to this forum as of 1/13/10, but have been a collector of military surplus and Enfields since 1992. I have a number of interesting rifles to include some 17 SMLEs including examples of English production dating from 1907-1918 and Lithgow
production from 1913-1920. I will be glad to share a description of what I have with anyone interested if someone can point me to the appropriate forum.
I look forward to learning from others, asking my usual silly questions, and sharing what information I have. Can anyone tell me how photographs may be posted? I am not a technical person bu any stretch of the imagination.

New from AL
New member from AL. I just got my first Colt 1911 the other day. It's nothing special but the bug has bitten to get a vintage issue 1911. I have been collecting for a few years and have my 03 FFL. Hope to learn a lot here. I have a few questions I'll get to in time after I look around and try to find the answers myself. Great site with lots of info. thanks
