    It was most likely been issued to a Britishicon unit. The rifle was most likely bought at a surplus/hardware store to be used as a hunting rifle post war.
    Yup those are my plans..maybe have it taken care of first.

    Sure it has. There aren't any bayonet lugs ahead of the front sight base, right?

    You folks would have a better clue than me of course...but I would have bet my life on the fact that the barrel was never cut.

    It simply looks how it should look.

    The front end HAS been cut off - you should have bayonet lugs and it should look like this :

    Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
