One important fact people do not realize is that only approximately 250 FSA Modèle 1949-1956 rifles were converted in Franceicon to 7.62 NATO for use by the Sûreté Nationale (National Police) none of these were ever imported and are still in inventory with them.
All of the 'conversions' for sale in the U.S. are the Century Arms, Inc. done ones.
