Post war replacement barrels

Other than the Herlo barrels,were there any other US GI replacement carbine barrels produced in the 1950-1970 timeframe and how can these be identified?

I've been offered a NOS Herlo barrel assembly marked #5557154HC 1 3 with wrapping dated Sep 1970. I've read the Bill Ricca notes as well as the Kuhnhausen shop manual on the chrome lined Herlo barrels #8448416. Kuhnhausen cautions against using the chrome lined #844816 because of quality issues,but does not discuss the #5557154 barrels which I understand are not chrome lined. My impression is that these are also off spec. Anyone have any first hand experience with the #5557154 barrels?

I have a barrel that is probably that old, I got it from a box of inherited gun parts. It appears to be 100% GI but has absolutely no markings on it at all. No numbers, no P proof mark, nothing. It is parkerized, including the chamber which is short chambered.
I have been over it with a strong light and a magnifying glass and can't find a clue to who made it or where it came from.

The main problem with the non-chrome Herlos is the twist rate. Some have the correct twist and are ok, but many of them have a twist rate that is too slow. As a result, the bullets will start keyholing at 25 yards and a 100 yard group is likely to be more than 4 feet in diameter! As a result, the entire lot was rejected.

I got this unmarked barrel on an Inland.400xxx ser.#.Top is unknown barrel.I found no markings except shown in 2nd pic,left.Looks like a poorly stamped I dot I. Bottom and 2nd pic,right is marked Inland barrel.I was told the umarked barrel might be SA replacement. At first I bypassed that mark until I looked over the Inland barrel. Just my exspeience with the unknown. GK
