Ebay RMC Hi-Wood Stock
Noticed this RMC I cut on Ebay.
Looks like RMC in the slingwell with a I stamped below the RMC.
The CC on the rightside is a large style like Inland.
Think that stamped CC is real?
Looks like a ink stamp to me.........

At any rate, that's a lot bigger cross cannons than on my High Wood RMC on my CMP racker! There is no RMC in a rectangle next to it, either

Charlie, is it possible that Inland got stocks from RMC?
It's so hard tell if the CC is stamped. I have one on a Korean return that can only be seen in the right light and held at the right angle. mine is stamped OI in the sling well.....Frank

Darn look at the $$ it went for.
I just got one of these on my CMP inland racker.
barrel is a pure racker all the way as well as the IO hand guard, and the buttplate wasted.
But the stock is "service grade".
no cracks, clear RMC in the sling well, but the cc is either soo light I can't see 'em, or just aren't there.
I thought of keeping it since it's a nice example of an early stock.
Would an RMC higwood I cut that isn't cracked, and a CMP take off, be worth more or less (since I can't fine any other cartouches on the stock)?

I have an RMC "I" cut type 1 that was modified to type 3. It doesn't have a cartouche, but otherwise a pretty decent stock. Not one you'd want on a pristine carbine, but would be good for an ordinary/shooter. What is something like this worth....ballpark figure? I'm thinking of selling it as I'm not likely ever to get a Rockola and don't have any idea of what to ask.
