Vol IV, Bavarian Municipal Police
Standard Products 2076843. This one is the bottom of the pile, condition wise. But the most uncommon by far, of the six. Note the dowel holding the stock together under the slide, and the three brass nails to help. This is the first time I've seen an adj. rear sight with a cartouche and in the white.

I can understand why you said that this is worse that the others you have posted. Talk about ways to make a stock last longer! Still, the metal looks great and it appears to be well kept. Yep, all you are proving is that you got your than a bargain when you won that auction!

Ronnie, interesting stock repair. I'm thinking that they used threaded pins instead of nails. Notice how the middle pin is almost centered on the dowel, I'm thinking it goes through the dowel to give the repair strength. Glued and screwed, should be fine, and I would call it a keeper....Frank

Frank you Thank!!
Well, it's a keeper for sure. Without regard to condition. I am told that these Muni carbines are the rarest of the bunch... Or, at least, very uncommon. CMP
tells me that there were only enough Muni carbines to make twelve complete sets. And therein lies a story !!
I will tell the story in a week or so, after I have posted the last of the set. The next two are both Winchesters, and I am VERY happy with them.... As you will soon see.

I am new but thought this repair was pretty good. I have a friend with an old Remington .22 rim-fire, I did a repair almost identical to this one. Works great. Just my .02 worth.
