Hi. I'm a new member, trying to get some info about a rifle I've had for about 20 years. It's an M1A
, from Springfield Armory (Genesco, IL) and it's one of the rifles from the "Even Thousand" series of collector's rifles. It's serial number is xx000, has a highly polished, walnut stock, gold trigger, gold flash suppressor, gold inlaid serial number, etc.
Does anyone have any idea as to its value? I'd also like to make contact with an M1A collectors' club, since I suspect they would have folks who would be most interested in purchasing something like this. It's been sitting in my safe, since purchase.
Anyone can E-mail me, about this item, at S1105521037@cs.com, if you like.
Thanks

Hi to all!
I've been a long time reader, but have never posted before. I have quite a few milsurps, but no particular single area of concentration. I like all different kinds! I have a sampling of U.S military, Enfields, Mosins, Mausers, Swiss
and other odds and ends. I really enjoy reading the posts and have learned a lot here. I just wish I had more time to shoot. I'm a 4th grade teacher and have young kids of my own, so life stays busy. Glad to be here.
Mike

New member, I'm glad I found this site. Thanks for putting it together and giving me access. I am thinking about a 91-30 because of the quality/price factor. They're less then 100$ locally. Is that right? Can I get a quality unit for that price?
