Nice work!
It's always nice to see a whole milsurp brought back to life again. (Dr Frankenstein)
I hope you do find a period looking scope for it. It'll make a great looking shooter.

Very nice, Trickster!
There must be a lot of satisfaction "rolling your own" rifle out of spare parts.
Have you had it to the range yet?
How you like the S&K mount as far as period appearance and solidness?

Planning to get to the range on Friday to try it out. I was going to go last Friday, but it rained all day.
The S&K mount is quite solid. I think that with some low rings and a decent looking scope, you won't even notice the mount. The best thing about this mount is that it was cheap ($39), and no modifications are required. If it turns out that I don't like it, I can always put the iron sights on and you would never know that the S&K mount had been on the rifle.

Good job....
both of my P14s are "restored" also. I picked up what was missing handguards and bands, trigger guard assys and one stock was broken. It took me about a month to round up the parts and Now I have two very nice rifles that shoot well. The bluing is about 90 percent and there is not indication of them ever being through FTR. One is an Eddy and the other a Rem. All the parts are correct except the Rem has an E stock....chris3

Consider an Unertl Bear Cub - you do need lower rings. I had to grins the edges of the rings I used so they would fit as far back as I wanted.

you may want to upgrade to a set of Burris Z rings, they look much nicer, and are easier to install.
