Actually, I meant to state 1946-1958. There was a lot of work on M1903A3s post-war, mostly, I believe in the late 1940s, at Rock Island. Although I have no definite proof, I believe a lot of the work done was to prepare M1903s and M1903A3s for service in Greece.
The stock would be correct for a later M1903A3, but is often seen as a replacement stock on M1903s and earlier M1903A3s, as well.Information
