So, a PF59xxx postdates a PF79xxx? How did they organise their serial numbers?

Maybe because 1 is for a No.4 Mk.1 and the other is for a No.4 Mk.2?

The serial numbers ran in sequence through the transition to Mk2----if you go to the site at Amatikulu's link, you will see this for yourselves.
The out of sequence number might have any explanation you can imagine, but it isn't the norm.
