    Brian,
I spoke to Spike Sunday evening----and he fished out an April '49 Mk1 he got from you, way back when.
Comparing serial numbers, that Mk1 and the 5/49 Mk2 I have coming are separated by about 3000 units.
Which would seem to be a fairly tight bracket. Maybe we'll get some more serial numbers and narrow it down further.

    Krinko,

Some more numbers, have 2 x No4 Mk 2 (F) have included the 53 just for the number

    10/49 [PF 4065**

    3/53 [PF 270**

the 49 is stamped, the 53 is etched.

Apologies if this is totally wrong.
I'm sure I remember reading / hearing that Faz suplied batches of rifles to Parker Hale to do whatever conversions they wanted.

These batches of serial numbers have appeared totally out of sequence with stndard Faz production numbers.

    Anyone else remember anything ?
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
