Just curious, it seems that when a barrel was replaced, the new one had a current date, so to speak.

What are the chances of a barrel being replaced with a new, old stock one? Older than the "production date" of the receiver, but still new. When at war, all supplies were used, so I assume its possible. Just my $.02.
