T38 marking question
I have a Nagoya T38 that is in good shape. The wood has dings, but the barrel is fine and the markings are clear and not rubbed down (inspected with a watchmaker's exeglass). And yes, I have read the stickies and the linked information!
So I am absolutely as certain as I can be, without being literate in Japanese
, that the Kanji to the left of the number is the symbol for "6" (looks like a little stick man) and not the symbol for Series 27 or any other series. Furthermore there is a figure 6 to the right of the Nagoya mark after the number.
Can anyone explain this?
Patrick

I think you are confusing the character for the number 6 and the character used to symbolize "series 6".
This is the number 6
This is the character used for "series 6"
If the series character looks like a little stick man, it is probably series 27
The symbol to the right of the manufacturer marking is an inspection mark.
