Aftermarket sights?
Does any companies out there make a good adjustable rear peep sight for a no4mk1 enfield? I love the looks of those old redfields and was wondering if I could pick up anything like that now?

You can find AJ Parker and Parker-hale for the No4 rifles, expect to pay over $200, check evil-bay. I rarely see the Redfield for the No4, in fact the only one I have seen was on a sporter I bought. Williams had a No4 sight back in the day, have not seen one in years.

From other discussions regarding aftermarket rear sights on this forum, and other places, it would appear that the AJ Parker has the edge over the Parker Hale models. I have looked at and tried both on my Enforcer, and the edge definitely goes to the AJ Parker. I have no experience of Redfields, although I did see a bunch (not sure what rifles they were for) at a recent local gun show. The "expert" on special sights there had never seen an AJ Parker before lol.
Alan de Enfield did state that the correct Parker Hale sight (PH5C) may be selling for closer to $300 on average on evilbay, and the AJ Parker for a little more.

Redfield made an adapter plate for the No4/5 that used their standard aperature sight. It require no modification to the rifle and was very compact especially for those that hunted. Ocassionally seen on eBay.

If you don't want to drill and tap, a Twin Zero is about your best bet. The Central is a better sight, but no one has made proper 'no-drill' base for the No4 for it.
There's always the PH4 as well.

Williams Gun Sights still lists 2 of their sights for an Enfield. FP and 5D type. The way they are listed is a little confusing as they refer to the No. 1, 4 & 5 as SMLE's. Definitely call and confirm.
The FP with target knobs might be a ecomomic alternative.

So I currently have on the old mk 2 ladder sights.. are those adjustable? My enfield is shooting consistently low... like... really bad. About 7 inches low adn about 3 inches to the right. It may be my parker hale front sight.. but i dont think i can adjust that for elevation.

At what range were you shooting (just curious)? The Mk.2 (well, all of the marks of military No.4 rear sight) is not adjustable for windage, and elevation is typically corrected by changing the height of the foresight blade, so your best bet would be to get a rear sight that is adjusable for both windage and elevation
