Just out of interest what markings are on your stripper clips?

If they look like #5 then they not 7.62x51mm Stripper clips, they are are Mauser stripper clips.

These are definitely 7.62. #5 in the pic looks like 7.62 also ... Para said #7 + #8 are Mauser clips. Maybe #6 too. You can see they are smaller than the others.
Anyway .... these look like #5. Shiny and silver and no markings.

I'll trade 180 rounds of new manufacture UMC 308 in bandoleers, on stripper clips with chargers for 180 rounds of 8mm Surplus on stripper clips.

1: .30-06 Springfield Clip
2: .30-06 Springfield Clip
3: 7.62x51mm NATO Standard Stripper clip (Mk. 3) (marking could be under the spring)
4: M93 Mauser Clip
5: Most likely 6.5 Swedish
Mauser Clip, if not, then a variation of M93 clip
6: 7.92 Mauser (K98
) Clip (variation)
7: 7.92 Mauser (K98) Clip
8: 7.92 Mauser (K98) Clip (variation)
The bright shinny clips with two lugs aren't 7.62x51mm clips....... they might hold and feed 7.62x51, but they aren't designed for it. There are a number of sellers on eBay selling these clips stating they can be used with 7.62, .30-06, 6.5mm etc etc

/L1A1/2A/BM59 stripper clips, I'm 99% sure they will be Swedish

Ah well .. wadda ya gonna do? Thanks for the info. They work in the Ishies so I'll use them for now. 50 cents a piece won't kill me. Next show I'll be a little more picky.
