    The Finns used a concoction of.... Equal parts beeswax, turpentine, and boiled linseed oilicon..... there is a guy that makes and sells it... "Tom's 1/3 Mix"

    I use it on all my milsurps now. Works great on any gun that would have normally had an oil finish.. which is most of them.

    Previously I used BLOicon (Boiled lindseed oil), or at times "truoil" (on the trueoil I always knock the gloss down with steel wool. no shiny finsh Milsurps for me. That just looks tacky!)

    I recommend the Tom's 1/3 mix highly! It can be used as a protectant on a gunstock, OR as the finish itself. Great stuff easy to use and goes a long way!
