Remington Arms of Delaware Inc. was made up of investment from Midvale Steel, Baldwin Locomotive, Remington, Ilion, and others. Management of the rifle plant went to Midvale steel after the re-organization following the ammunition plant explosion. The Baldwin complex was huge and only a small percentage was involved in the rifle production, Almost all M1917s are Midvale Steel products. The area is a large shopping mall now except for two of the old brick buildings.
Post World War I ( circa 1948 ) photo of the Baldwin complex.
