A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Hi all

Thought I'd jump over to this forum as I seen references to it on CGN. I shoot a number of military surplus and am one of the lucky crowd that had my ducks in a row when 12.5 appeared. I'm primarily an ipsc shooter however, own a number of milsurps which will see some use this summer as I'm retiring.

    New member introduction thread

    Hello, All,
I am a new member to this forum, and look forward to chatting with and learning from all you. I'm a life long Enfield collector, and have begun to focus my area into Long Branches. I've been sorting the serial numbers on another web site, and have been filing away various nuggets of information in my lair. Thank you, and happy collecting!

Hello everyone. I am a CGN member, and decided after getting comfortable there, that I should also sign up here. I have been collecting casually since I bought ny first rifle as soon as I was old enough to get an FAC (Enfield #5, ROF (F)) Starting to take it a bit more seriously as I get older.

Iam just as much interested in the history and development, and politics of procurement side of things as I am of buying the friearms (cheaper too!)

Looking foreward to enjoying my new membership here

I live in Southern Nevada and retired 3 years ago. I have collected firearms since my early teens, with special interest in those that have a military history. I'm currently documenting the research I have done on my collection so that my sons will know as much as possible about the firearms they will ultimately inherit.
Hope to be able to use this forum as one of my research tools, and am pleased to be on board.
