    My next WAG is that it detatches to become the grenade launcher sight, but having never seen a real one....
    They have no bearing on disassembly, and there appear to be several variants w/o this feature, so it must not be all that "important".



    Only about 50 semi-autos sold in the US, and no transferable select/burst fire ones of which I'm aware. Could have bought one when they came in country, but I "figgered" that there would have been plenty- no need to be in a rush and all...
