Never understood jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. I would rather kick in doors - you get to meet some "very interesting people" that way. A few will even try to give you a "warm welcome". So nice to be able to make friends...

I'm guessing that 42-36-1A is the original contract/submittal number for the carbine program.

You guys are crazy, jumping out of airplanes. Frank I didnt know you were Bruce Lee at 60! And yes I know what 42-36-1A is, but I took an oath of secrecy. If I told you guys I would have to - Oh well I promised I would not tell. Craziest thing I did was race 2 cycle dirt oval Go-Karts at 45 yrs old, now that about killed me.

Ah yes, back in the day "844 the door!" (for the uninitiated, California Penal Code Section 844 allows Law Enforcement to break down doors and windows to effect an arrest in certain situations).

Somehow, I usually ended up "on point" (by choice) with an XM177E2 Commando, M2 Carbine, MP5, or my personal, trusty M1icon Carbine. That's an adrenaline rush - especially if a "flash-bang" went in first! Boom stress is as addictive as crack cocaine.

Jumping out of a plane sounds like it would be fun. But what if the chute doesn't open? Do you pack your own? Halo jump with O2 sounds crazy, and pretty cold to me. What is the outside temp during those?

I took the easier route and scuba. Still have the O2, but a much slower and shorter fall, warmer too.

Sounds like most of you old boys should get together now and see if you could get a group rate on some Hover rounds !!

I thought we could all grab a carbine (with blanks and adaptor), line up and see who could do a room entry the best... I wonder how it would look with a bunch of old gray haired guys trying to aim carbines and maneuver canes and walkers through doorways....

Oh, who can handle a door ram and a walker at the same time????

(just trying to picture that is making me laugh!!!))

next month it will be parachuting with wheelchairs....
