I bought the #4(T) at the Vernon Show. The rifle and scope are matching, the scope can and transit case are not. However, since there are no "safe kisses" on the rifle or dings on the scope, they have been together in the transit case for a long time I think. The scope is a little unusual in that it is a 1945 dated Mk III but only has the Waterproof mark, not the Bloomed mark. The rifle is a 1944 dated BSA. The screws are all in nice shape, and the mount and scope screws are staked. There are some faint vice type indentations on the buttstock and forewood which I can't explain, since the rifle doesn't appear to be messed with.
I've posted a link to some photos, and would welcome feedback. I've known the dealer I bought it from for years, and helped him unload his van at setup on Friday. I bought the rifle for less than the asked 4K. I think I did ok on it, even though the can and case don't match.
My photobucket link isn't working, so I have just added a gallery of the rifle--you can click on View photos by boltaction next to my post and see the rifle photos.
