Struggling With The Colour

The old eyes dont seem to like reading Black on a brown background, any tips on changing the colours to get a bit more contrast ?

ditto, don't want to criticize, nice look and all, if it was a lighter background my eyes would read it easier too.

Same,Same, brown back ground is hard on old eyes !!!!
