Remploy is an organisation set up in 1945 to provide employment opportunities for disabled people, and in particular ex-servicemen. For many years they had most-favoured contractor status for a variety of public supply contracts. They made a wide variety of items including military uniforms, webbing equipment, office and school furniture, and fusewire.
