    Hello John ..

I'm not sure why you'd want to go to all the trouble of logging in every time, when all you have to do once any time you log in, is to click the checkbox that says "Remember Me?" and guess what, the site will remember you.

    See the pic attached ....

So, here's what you do ...

Type in both of the boxes your name in one and your password in the other. Check the small square box titled "Remember Me?" so you don't have to log in any more, because it sets a "cookie" on your own personal computer. Finally, click the button titled "Log in". Unless you clear the "cookies" (or they expire) stored on your computer under the web browser you're using, you should never have to do this again and so you'll be logged in every time you come to the site. By the way, ALL sites such as Gunnutz, Gunboards, Joustericon etc, all of whom use vBulletin software operate exactly the same way.

As far as the messages you received about someone trying to log into your account, they are security warnings that some stranger is indeed trying to login into the site using your name. They are obviously failing because they don't know your password, which is why you're seeing the warnings. It's important to note that for security reasons, even the Site Administrator doesn't know what your password is that you registered with. All I see when I view your password on your user account is a set of asterisks *****

    Hope that helps you ...

    Regards,
    Doug (Badger)
