That was me that emailed you. That stamped housing is too late for the SN. You need an earlier housing.

You don't list the serial number but if it is a B coded receiver it would be correct with a stamped trigger housing.

Wasn't the use of Underwoods' Stamped Housings started around Aug-43?

I'll take a wild guess and say its a 2.64 mil receiver, should be assembled around Dec 43..

Way to go out on a limb Frank..........
Just pick the middle of the serial block.
Your bound to be close....
LOL

P.S. Barrel dated 12-43........ B codes were finished up by end of March-44 (?)
I'll guess late Jan-44.

Rice, I don't have an opinion of the parts, but it is a nice carbine (wish I had a spare $1K right now). Since you are updating the posting, may I suggest that you add a few more pics of the carbine and maybe a pic of a gauge or M2 round in the barrel? You have nothing showing the barrel, front sight, bolt or internal markings. All are good selling points and may attract some additional bidders.
Not asked, but that is my 2 cents worth.

Hate to agree with T-R,
But........
More pics are needed. Showing stock markings and flip sight/dovetails....etc
So far, looks to be a nice example of a Singer-B code Underwood.
Good luck,

I must correct myself. If it is a B, T or S code receiver then the housing would be correct.
