This is a picture of the Inland plant in Dayton Ohio where the M1 icon

Carbines were produced. Notice the shape of the buildings (5) and look at the Inland logo on a trigger housing. This was originally the Wright Brothers airplane factory.

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Yep, that building was lost when they put in the clear coat line at the Moraine Truck Plant a few years back.
