    Thanks melw44.
Harbor Freight will surely have those. Good luck on just buying that though. I was in there this evening for two things. Got more than that of course and dropped a bit more$$ than I meant to!

For the record, any non-marring material will do. I have an old chunk of aluminum bar I use for a punch often times. A piece of good hard wood will work in a pinch too. Another thing is that the c-clamp style sks sight adjuster works real well too. Also, it's not that hard to modify a cheap C-clamp to do the same thing.

Thanks for the C clamp idea! I have some small ones that should work a treat. As for the HF store I am the same way go for one thing and come out with 12! :-o
That's why I have to not go to often.

Here's some pictures of my sks sight tool on a Mauser. Sorry about the poor quality of the pics. They got degraded some how and I have not bothered to fix them.

    Check this link out. http://milsurpshooter.net/reply/210575#reply-210575

That's a topic on another forum discussing front site adjustment. It has pics of a fancy sight tool, the author allowed it cost him about $50.

Then, just this morning I was looking at my Cheaper Than Dirt catalog and saw a sks front sight tool like I'm referring to here and it's listed for $5.97. Then on that other forum a fellow posted pics of a C-clamp he'd modified to do the same thing we're talking about here. They're good pics to see how he'd modified it if that's what you're wanting to do.

Thanks Jim. How do you keep the threaded part from slipping off the sight?
