I don't think the font is the same as the receiver. The receiver fours have serifs and the six on the bolt is monstruos and completely different. I think it was done by John Q Public some time in the last two dozen years or so. Before that they weren't collectible enough to matter. Compare the two pics side by side. Under the five on the bolt is the outline of another number.

it might be just the armorer who made the six a little big, but then again your probably right, is it still worth a good chunk of cash though?

Looks like renumbered bolt.No U stamp.Could have been a replacement bolt.
Still a nice and very rare rifle.I paid $750.00 four years ago for a nice 1914 MK III,slightly better condition,but any MK III dated before 1914 is rare.
Most of them are turning to iron oxide in the Somme!
