Peter,

we are based 170km south of Perth, on the Coast, in the port town of Bunbury. So you were just up the road during your two trips to Perth.

With the constant encroachment of residential housing on the Perth metro range, it is under pressure to close.

When this happens our local range, Coolilup, will be the closest to Perth.

I searched google to try to find a picture of the range, and the best I could find shows Ned (Dave) shooting his (now mine) 1955 Fazakerley No4 mk11. The pic is attached. Clubhouse is in the rear of the pic.

It is a great rifle. Shoots straight for Ned. Shoots massively to the right for me! ........must be the bedding, bore, action etc........

I am not so sure about the virtues of the 7,965km road trip. Drinking the beers sounds a lot more attractive, but the pressure is on to sort out the shooting right issue before the picnic shoot.
