Don't bust a gut about the lack of a bayonet either Alpine. The No4T wasn't scaled for a bayonet nor was one issued with a No4T.

No there wasn't ........, in case anyone tells you that there should be one packed into the chest...................

I wish I had known that before I bought a MkI cruciform bayonet for my trials sniper. Probably not totally correct anyway as the Trials rifle probably had an earlier type but I thought as the rifle was converted in the 41-42 period, the MkI would be proper for that time frame. Ray
