Hello to everyone, I'm a ST.Louis boy, I'm new to this sight. I'm looking for some info on a M1
carbine. I'm trying to find out the maximum chamber pressure for the M1 Carbine. I want to build a wildcat cartridge with the same spec's as the .357 Mag. (43,000 CUP) MAX. or less. Can anyone out there help me with this info.?

I just wanted to say hello; I just joined this site and reside in the great state of Indiana. My primary interest is in the 1922, 1922 MI and the M2 rifles. I'm hear to observe and learn.

Hi everyone,
I figured I ought to get 1 post under my belt here. Love Milsurp guns. Have several. Latest is a K98
and I'm saving up for a '03 Springfield. My favorite so far has been my WWII Garand
. It looks like you have some great information here.

Just saying Hey
Hey everyone. Just bought my first 1903A3 at a gun show on Saturday. It is a Smith Corona, reciever and barrel match and barrel was made in 6/43. The stock was refurbished at Red River Arsenal. Only other mark on stock is a P in a block square. Can I assume it was refurbished after the war? I think the bolt may be Remington though the stamps aren't clear. Also I didn't have any headspace gauges but do have a Hornady COAL gauge. The length from the bolt face to the bullet kissing the grooves is 3.383" As a reference I measured my M70 winchester and it is 3.283" Am I good to go or is that too excessive. Would really like to take her for a spin this weekend. Thank you, Mike
