Hello Folks: Another Californiano, I've been collecting military weapons since 1956, and have focused on German
and other WW11 era snipers and earlier types for the last 10 years. I'm also interested in G/K 43s' as well as all German pistols, with a focus on Broomhandles and Lugers. Just another old fart with more time than sense. I exhibit at a local show, sometimes sell off a duplicate. Very interested in buying Ajack ZF 39 scopes. I'm a moderater on Robert Spielauers forum, retired, live in the S.F. Bay area, doin' fine.

Hello Everyone!
Hi there
Well, figured it was about time I joined up here. New to the board, but not new to the forum community
Based out of Calgary, I'm finding my interest really does not lie with hunting rifles...what turns my crank are pistols and old mil-surp rifles. Among others, I've rescued two horribly bubba'd Lee Enfields , one of which had the world's worst attempt at checkering I have ever seen. Literally, I think the guy used a bastard file to carve some shape resembling a crooked diamond pattern into the wood. A 1/2 blind monkey spaced out on quaaludes and whiskey could have done a better job. Regardless, I'm just finishing getting my 1918 MkIII* back to something approaching it's original state, and the Aussie Lithgow
is well...maybe staying as a sporter until I can find the right wood for it.
The Swiss
K31 I recently acquired is in excellent shape, and it shoots like nothing I've ever owned. With MilSurp GP11 ammo, we can hit a wee little gong at 300m over iron sights. Hey, I'm not 21 anymore, and my right eye is my bad eye, but damm! Can that rifle shoot!
Of course, no collection is complete without a good old fashioned Tula refinished SKS
Newest plaything is a 1942 vintage TT33 Tokarev that I've been messing about with. Just finished reloading 50 rounds of starline brass; it shot well and fairly accurately, but the lead nosed bullets we're using are catching on the feedramps. They're a bit worn. Need to find a FMJ 86 gain bullet now
Anyhoo, cheers to all! I look forward to learning lots more from you folks!

bbooth
Good morning all. While not new to firearms, I am new to collecting and have never joined a chat room. I live in Virginia and it takes a while toget "chatty". I don't even know how to get a little character but an old nickname on the job is huff so maybe someone can help me get a character?
