but, i still dont know why it has so many serial numbers stamped all over it, it is as if Colt put their italic numbers on it and then Argentina had it stamped in block numbers as well....
maybe i am wrong, i am assuming this

i was also lucky enough to find one without the extra ser# stamps or import marks

i really dont think there is much more info you can find that hasnt already been posted in that thread

also, i do not have have the "RA" (that i recall, i havent taken it down since i cleaned it last)
his also has the original grips...

Mine only has a few parts with it, and the double diamond grips arent original. colt stopped using them when they went to the 1911-A1 configuration
