How many of you have actually come across the NHTE hammer for NPM?
i have only seen 1 in the past 3 years or so on the auction or gunshow scene, or forum.
That is my white whale

I have never seen one except example's in the book.

I haven’t seen one on the loose, but I do have one in NPM “U” with a Marlin barrel 4.3 mil ser #.

NPM Hammer NHTE
Hammer has not been parkerized, but does have remains of hard dried comsoline or some type of protective coating.

Besides the National Postal Meter hammers marked N HTE, there are S HTE marked hammers for Standard Products, and Q HTE marked hammers for Quality H.M.C.
They were made by Hawk Tool & Engineering Co. of Detroit, Michigan.
