Quite simply, I think that the No. 8 is the best trainer ever, bar none.

Well actually I am rather hoping that the sweeping claim in the previous posting will provoke some others into showing us what their trainers can do!

My No8 is definitely a great shooter but my Cooey 82 probably is as good. It is hard to believe just how well the 82 will shoot consistently. It is "broad arrow" marked and my son is very good with it. My eyes are getting a little old and I admit I can't shoot as well as years ago without a scope.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

The only trainer i had was a Mauser one and it was able to shoot 3" at 100yards but nothing better.

;) Well done Gunner
Some times we forget the .22 are key to basic rifle marksmanship. I try to make time to get new shooter on the 100m line with the .22 it is such a confidence builder and then later come back to 50m. Sadly my best .22 was stolen but my MAS 45 is still a fine training tool.
.....MJ.....
MJ, don't take this personally, but that's crap.
