Doubt it would have that old one-bolt stock if it went through a fire. Everything looks too original for that.

As far as the finish, alot can happen in a hundred years. Being subject to the elements can produce a wide variety of results.

At one point, some owner decided to spiff it up by sanding the stock. Does the handguard have a fixturing slot?

I would have bought it for that price.

It does have the fixture slot and if I'm not mistaken the early high hump profile with round relief for windage screw. It is cracked and someone looks to have hot glued it. Seems solid enough. Just wouldn't look right to relpace it. There is a W and a B stamped in the handguard (Makers Mark?). This stock has been like this on THIS rifle for a long time, you can just tell by the fit...
