I'm doing a research project for an MKLicon article and need some help.

I've got a correctly marked Canadianicon Lyman Alaskan scope #4411s c/w mounts, which I understand is one of 350 Canadian contract scopes used on the No. 4 Mk I TP sniper rifle. The scope and mount setup has apparently been sitting in the vault of an old collector for a few decades, but I'm trying to find out more about the mount itself. The mount doesn't have the Long Branch rifle serial number on it, but does have several other small stamps and numbers.

I understand that about 4-5 years ago, someone was selling a bunch of reproduction mounts for these scopes, so I'd like to get some pics of both legitimate and reproduction versions of them. If anyone is willing to help out and share pics and any other information about either, it would be appreciated.

Emails with pics can be sent to badger@milsurps.com and all information will be kept strictly confidential.

Thanks …

Regards,
Doug
