Thanks guys, it was the 1943/44 look of the carpet and sling that made me look closer at the Carbine. Any Carbine down here with a C tabbed sling is worth looking at. I still go with the feeling that some Carbines that didn't get back to the States didn't get re-built and that the handguards were a weak point, easily damaged .... so ... you may often find a wrong handguard on an otherwise O.K Carbine. I am thinking of buying but will await better pics. Will let you know how it develops. Mike.
