Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Crap stupid phone! The rifle has a 1943 dated barrel AAW rebuild stamp on it. Where was it rebuilt? Thank you for your help

AA is Augusta Arsenal (Georgia) The letter "W" is presumed to be the inspector supervising overhauls. (As per Bruce N. Canfield). That stock was on a rifle overhauled some 50 plus years ago, you have no way of knowing that it was on 299245 at that time.
